Here are the top 10 tips to ask yourself when selecting an SEO company to get your website to the top ten:

1. Can they backup what they say. If they are unable to provide you with solid proof of their achievements then how do you know that they can really achieve the result for your business.
2. Guaranteed top 10 ranking offers. Nobody (unless they have direct control over Google) can fully guarantee that your website will get to the first page. Companies that offer a guaranteed service often use the numbers game. They guarantee to get any website to the first page for any search phrase even though they know that they will never achieve the results for a percentage of them.
3. Do they use 100% white hat or ethical SEO methods to achieve a top 10 ranking? There are quite a number of unethical methods to get your website to the first page of Google. You might say "so what, who cares if it gets me to the top". It is a fact that if you use any unethical methods to get your website to the top of Google then this will have a major negative effect on your website rankings in the long run and Google may even delete your website from their listing altogether.

10. Most importantly. Does your SEO company track what effects the results are having on your website? Do they go the extra mile to ensure that the increase in traffic to your website due to the secured rankings are actually generating sales?
